The Texas A&M women’s basketball team currently stands atop the NCAA women’s basketball mountain. Their incredible victory in last year’s championship game catapulted them into stardom, as this was the first championship in the program’s history.
Now that they are on the top of the mountain, they have targets to size of Texas on their backs. Maintaining their status as a top program in women’s college basketball will be even tougher than obtaining it in the first place was. When you’re the champion, everyone is gunning for you, bringing their best game to the court.
