Can Texas A&M Women Repeat In 2011-2012

Last year, Texas A&M women-s basketball won their first ever National Championship in a titillating 76-70 win over Notre Dame. Coach Gary Blair, after having left Arkansas in 2003 for Texas A&M, has built the women-s program into a nationally recognized power, taking the Aggie women to six straight NCAA tournaments. What Do The Texas A&M Women Have Left To Prove

The Texas A&M women’s basketball team currently stands atop the NCAA women’s basketball mountain. Their incredible victory in last year’s championship game catapulted them into stardom, as this was the first championship in the program’s history.

Now that they are on the top of the mountain, they have targets to size of Texas on their backs. Maintaining their status as a top program in women’s college basketball will be even tougher than obtaining it in the first place was. When you’re (more…)
